As part of the Community Council’s role of building the capacity of the voluntary and community sector, we continually seek to identify suitable training courses, workshops and information sessions that will help individuals and groups carry out their activities.

We deliver in-house training sessions on a variety of issues and topics suited to the needs of community groups and organisations and also signpost them to other training courses that we feel would be appropriate.

We have forged partnerships with local agencies to develop and increase training opportunities for the voluntary sector. We currently work with the countywide partnership, Learnability and are key partners with Stafford and District Council for Voluntary Services and Chase Council for Voluntary Services in the Skill Base training consortium. Both Learnability and Skill Base offer a wide range of training opportunities for our members and other groups.
